Wood is a natural resource and in sustainable building is used fairly regularly by the ability of this material to build efficient, livable and healthy environments.
Wood is hygroscopic, flexible, regulates cold and interior heat, its production and disposal does not pollute the environment because it can be reused or recycled.
The wood we use for our homes is from sustainable source. FSC and PEFC labels.
We use ecological insulation (recycled cellulose, recycled cotton, sheep wool, hemp, flax, Cork…), rather than rock wool or similar materials which may be harmful for our health, for the environment and for people who manufacture it.
Windows and doors of wood from sustainable source are more indicated. Currently they are manufactured so that they fit perfectly, with all the guarantees of tightness, and at very competitive prices. Wood is the material that gets better isolate and also has the greatest aesthetic qualities.
We use mineral paints for interiors, they are absolutely microporous and breathable. The walls can ‘breathe’ and regulate moisture naturally. They do not contain solvents, preservatives, biocides and plasticizers; therefore they do not produce toxic emissions. Its mineral and alkaline nature makes them adverse to fungi and molds without the need of incorporating fungicides, a big advantage, especially for sensitive people as children and allergy sufferers. They are safe; in case of fire, they do not swell, or propagate fire and does not emit toxic combustion gases. For finishes in wood (interior and exterior) we use open-pore stains of oils and vegetal resins, with mineral pigments and iron oxides that assure an excellent protection against the effect of UV rays.
The execution of grounding with massa and the use of cable shielded for entire electrical installation allows us to avoid electromagnetic pollution in our homes. The system can be supported with the installation of bioswitches.
